Perfect Thin and Crispy French Fries Recipe

French fries are the perfect side to any meal, and everyone loves them! We’ve got a few tips for you to make sure your fries are always perfect when you’re cooking up a batch of these delicious treats. First, choose potatoes for your fries. Russet potatoes are great for frying because they have a high starch content, which means they’ll soak up more oil during frying and stay crispy. If you don’t have russets on hand, try baking your fries instead!

Second, cut your potatoes into evenly sized sticks before frying them in oil at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes or until crispy brown on both sides. The key here is to use enough oil so that the potato sticks don’t stick together while frying. Try using peanut oil or canola oil if possible; they both have high smoke points so they won’t burn as easily when frying foods like french fries or onion rings (which we’ll get into later!). Thirdly, drain the excess oil from your cooked french fries on paper towels or brown paper bags before serving them with ketchup or other dipping sauces such as ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing!
