We’ve got the best One-Pan Texas Hash Rice Casserole recipe! This casserole is made with ground beef, onion and peppers, rice, and a few other ingredients. It’s a great alternative to using two pots and pans to cook your meal. This dish is also great for leftover meatloaf or chicken breast.

This recipe serves 4 people so if you’re cooking for more than 4 people then make sure you double or triple it as needed! It’s perfect for a weeknight meal because you can get everything in the oven and let it cook while you’re getting ready for work or doing chores around the house. Then when your family comes home from school or work, they’ll have a delicious meal waiting for them!

Texas Hash

This easy-to-make meat, vegetable, and rice casserole is a family favourite.
Servings 50

Ingredients
  

  • 12 lbs. Ground beef raw 
  • 1 gal Crushed tomatoes with liguid 
  • 2 qt Chopped onions 
  • 2 qt Chopped green peppers 
  • 1 qt Long grain rice
  • 1 cup Water 
  • 6 tbsp Chili powder 
  • 1 tbsp Salt 
  • 1 tbsp Ground pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook beef until beef loses its pink color; stirring to break apart. Drain or skim off excess fat. 
  • Add tomatoes, onions, peppers, rice, water, chili powder, salt and pepper to beef. Mix thoroughly. Heat to a simmer. 
  • Place about 5 3/4 qt mixture into each steam table pan
  • Cover pans; bake at 375 F. for 1 hour or until rice is tender. CCP: Internal temperature must reach 155 F. or higher for 15 seconds. Hold for service at 140 F. or higher.
