Apple Dumplings are a traditional holiday dessert. They’re delicious, so it’s no wonder why they’re so popular!

However, they can be a bit tricky to make. The dough can be tricky to roll out, and you have to make sure the apples don’t fall out of their dumpling wrappers during the baking process.

So what do you do? You can either take this as an excuse not to make them at home, or you can use our guide below for easy-to-bake Apple Dumplings at home!

Warm, flaky, apple-y sweet, and drizzled with a sauce baked right alongside them, these apple dumplings are delicious. They aren't difficult to build, but they do take some time
Servings 50 Portion: 1 cup

Ingredients
  

  • 2 14” Dutch ovens 
  • 4 ½ cup Sugar 
  • 1 ½ lbs. Butter 
  • 1 tbsp. Vanilla 
  • 3 can Mountain dew 
  • 6 cans Crescent rolls 
  • 6 Granny Smith apples
  •  Cinnamon 

Instructions
 

  • Peel and core apples and wrap each apple slice in a crescent roll. 
  • Place all Dutch oven. 
  • Melt butter, add sugar and vanilla and mix well. 
  • Pour mixture over apples/rolls in Dutch oven. 
  • Pour ½ can of Mountain Dew in the Dutch oven and sprinkle cinnamon over the apples/rolls 
  • Use 8 to 10 coals on the bottom and 18 to 20 on the top. Bake for 45 minutes.
